2023 Farmer Wants A Wife contestant David McMahon popped the question to his beloved Emily in September at Evamor Valley – the location of their first 24-hour solo date.

In a magic moment for the couple, David dropped to one knee on the property’s stunning grounds and asked a shocked Emily to marry him with a gorgeous diamond ring.

In happiness, Emily immediately said yes and the couple celebrated with a bottle of champagne on Evamor Valley’s stunning jetty, overlooking the dam.

David specifically chose Evamor Valley for the proposal, as it was the first place he truly fell in love with his bride-to-be in season 13 of the popular series.

“There was a moment at Evamor, when we were having a glass of wine as the sun was setting and I just knew this was something special,” he said.

“So, it was really important for me that when l asked Em to marry me, it had to be at Evamor Valley – the spot is just such a special part of our journey.”

Emily said the proposal came as a complete surprise and she was absolutely thrilled.

“It was just such a surreal moment – David kept the secret very well. I had absolutely no clue!”

“Just to return to Evamor Valley was so incredible – it brought back so many memories of our solo date and those early feelings between us. Evamor will always be such an important spot for us- it’s a place we hold really dear to our hearts.”

David and Em visited Evarnor Valley on episode 10 of the beloved Channel 7 series, spending their overnight stay paddleboarding on the dam and taking in the sunset views.
